A Letter from Transept’s founder & artistic Director
Dear Transept friends,
Out of appreciation for the health and safety of all of our musicians, collaborators, and audiences, Transept will be cancelling the remainder of our 2019-2020 season. This includes Cathedral Masterpieces (May 16), our Fundraiser & Silent Auction (June 25), and Surround Sound (June 27). Ticket holders may receive a refund, apply their ticket toward a future concert, or donate the cost of their ticket to Transept. We are honoring our contracted artist fees in spite of these cancellations, and contributions of all levels would be most welcome at this time. While we’re sad to cancel, we will look forward to gathering again and connecting in person in due time.
Though nothing can replace the connection we feel between one another and our audiences in person, we do have a few things we are excited to share online in the near future, including:
Virtual Cathedral Masterpieces Concert
May 16, 2020 at 7 PM streaming on our facebook page (link)
Highlights from our May of 2019 concert, including works by Palestrina, Allegri, Hildegard, Tallis, Sheppard, Bruckner, Vaughan Williams, Hagen, and more. This was a stunning concert, celebrating the 100th Anniversary to the day of the dedication of the Cathedral of St. Joseph and featuring special guests, the O’Gorman HS Concert Choir. Join us on the Facebook livestream and take part in the online chat to tell us your favorite moments and pieces.
P.S. We will have some Transept swag to give away to those listening!
As we navigate these uncertain times, if you have the means, we would deeply appreciate a contribution through the following link toward Transept:
See you online, and in person one day soon.
With ongoing gratitude,
Dr. Timothy J. Campbell Founder & Artistic Director, Transept
